WHERE AM I FROM? I am located near Mt Pleasant, MI., USA. I also have a unique physical gift shop. Stop in and check out the cool stuff I sell in my gift shop. The items may be somewhat different than the items I offer on this site. But they are still very unique.  At our shop you will find house/barn stars, soybean candles, jewelry, metal silhouettes/art, bird houses, lots of different kinds of figurines including deer, bear, frog, fish, Avon Bottles, and much more. I LOVE LLAMAS!  BUT . . .    Now, about me personally. I used to raise llamas with the help of my husband, Jim. We had 3, one 17 ½ year old male named HLM Grand Finale (we call him Grady), one 7 year old female named Dausmann's Francesca (Frannie), and one cria (baby llama) named NHL Alina Francesca (Alina) which was born on June 12, 2007.  It takes almost a year for a cria to be born. Our llamas were just our pets. They can be raised for fun, for business, to show etc. They are a very clean animal to raise. They only relieve themselves in 2 or 3 places in their pastures not all over the place like some animals. They are very lovable but not really like a dog or a cat. We found some very nice people to take our llamas. They went to their new home on March 8, 2008.  We had some bad luck in 2007 with our llamas. We lost a momma and a baby (cria). The cria was breach and not alive and in trying to get the cria out, the momma was injured so badly that she had to be put down. But then a week later our other female, Frannie gave birth to a healthy cria. So then we were back to 3 llamas. Our llama that passed away was named Annie.

Now, why did we have to find a new home for our llamas? Well something else I haven’t mentioned is that I take care of my ex-husband who has Huntington’s Disease. He is getting quite a bit worse in this disease and there will come a time when he should not be left alone and that time is not very far away. I had to leave him alone when I had to go take care of them, feed them, clean their shelters, walk the cria etc….. So I felt it would be best to do this. It was just about the hardest thing I have ever had to do but I to do it for the llamas sake. It doesn’t take very long for llamas to grow on you. So it is very hard to get used to not having them. I feel sometimes like I have let them down, but yet, I still know it was really for the best.

LLAMA STUFF I have quite a few llama items on this site. I noticed that llama owners wanted llama items to collect. So I have items on our site to help llama owners out with that problem. I also have a lot of other items that are not in llama design. They might be what you are looking for.
